Hey everyone,

I know it’s been awhile since my last post. Boy, have I been busy!

The date is set and all final plans are being made for my charity event, An Evening of Hope, on March 27th at the Auditorium in Jackson.

Over a year ago, when I finally had the option to come back to Mississippi, the only suitable transport was via air ambulance. Believe me, it wasn’t cheap. It was truly astonishing how people in the community came out of the woodworks to help my family get me back home to proceed with rehabilitation.

Since I can’t exactly pay them back, I have been organizing this charity event for the Parents for Public Schools’ Ask for More Arts program, which is devoted to keeping music, dance, and arts in our public schools. This is my way of giving back to the community for all that they have done for me.

I am so excited for this. Included in the event will be a 3-course meal, provided by the Auditorium’s chef Nathan Glenn, a signature drink, live art auction (with featured artist Tony Difatta) and a raffle for a Bill Dunlap painting, and finally, a performance choreographed and featuring a solo by yours truly, incorporating video, music, and dance to depict the meaning of the hope that we all have in every day life.
I’ve been on my toes constantly to get this all together and I’m delighted to let you all know that it is happening. I hope to see you all there.
