just got some pretty rough news about a the neighbor of a friend of mine; she passed away after giving birth. the good thing is that the baby is still here, and the mother is singing with the angels. crazy, huh?
a recap of the weekend: not too crazy. i was able to start on some painting. i’m learning that independence is coming back slowly but surely, and i swear if i come across another awesome thrift store, i’m going broke.
i was able to speak with team you can’t stop this dancer, so be expecting, in the upcoming year, this website going through some changes for the better. i’m telling you, it is really good to have friends in small places. i will say that saturday night, i had the oddest dream that a buddy of mine was kicking some butt after a group of adults was making fun of me. again, it’s good to have friends in small places.
christmastime, christmastime…interesting how, in just a matter of days, it will be here. i wish for only one gift for myself: i don’t need a new car or a diamond necklace, or even a slip-n-slide…this year, my wish is for a very merry christmas. of course, there’s a lot more to that, but in my head it makes perfect sense.
i love caitlin, my new assistant. so far she’s been the best christmas gift to come along. sometimes, life throws you a curve ball, and when you catch it there’s a warm, fuzzy feeling that happens inside. i’ve been longing for that fuzzy feeling and i couldn’t be happier, since she walked into my life (man, you could totally take that sentence fifteen different ways). so thank you, caitlin. also, for all you kids 18 and up out there, check out her band, liver mousse– www.myspace.com/livermousse –very cool.
it was another day of therapy today. and of course, another intense workout with mr. e. slowly but surely, i am coming back.
